Practical Help For The Part Of A Move That Movers Do Not Touch.

NY King Life starts after the apartment search or alongside the final neighborhood decision. I do not replace brokers, movers, lawyers, or school officials. I help a household make the first week workable: calls, routes, lists, timing, errands, orientation, and the small local checks that keep parents from spending every night guessing.

Ledger

Timing, Deposits, Radius, And Other Realities

Lead time

Typical lead time is 10 to 15 business days before move-in week. School-heavy summer bookings often need 3 to 4 weeks.

Deposit

A 40% deposit holds the start date. The balance is due two business days before the first in-person work day.

Service area

35-mile working radius from Yonkers, including all five NYC boroughs, Riverdale, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, Pelham, Bronxville, and lower Westchester.

In-person minimum

Minimum booking for in-person work is 4 hours. Parking and tolls over $25 are billed at cost with receipts.

Missed appointments

Appointments missed with less than 24 hours notice are billed as one hour because days are routed around school offices, building desks, and family schedules.

Referral fees

NY King Life does not receive referral fees from brokers, schools, doctors, movers, or storage companies.

Same-week starts

$275 when the first in-person day must happen within five business days of booking.
